Not necessarily. The nature and circumstances surrounding an incident or claim are far more important than merely the existence of a claim. We do not view every incident the same way and, in some cases, filing a claim may not impact policy premium.
We believe that policy premium should reflect and compensate for the underlying risk that we are insuring. To the extent that this risk has increased, premium may also increase. When this happens, we make every attempt to work with you as a risk management partner to implement controls and protective actions that reduce risk, and therefore the cost of insurance.
