Congratulations! Your customer has agreed to purchase the Coalition insurance quote you've created for them. Here are the simple steps necessary to bind the quote at Coalition, using the (fictional) example of Racine Automotive.
First, find the account in your Broker Platform.
For older quotes, you may want to click the 'Quote & Policy Status' filter to show only Active quotes. Learn more about managing accounts in the Broker Platform.
Second, click on the account to see quotes on a dedicated page. You can then choose the quote you'd like to bind to review the information.
Third, click the "Bind" button on the right side of the page.
Note: Coalition will check that all applicable broker and agency licenses are in place for the state of the insured. If a license is missing, you'll be asked to provide it -- we work with agencies to load licenses when onboarding as much as possible.
Fourth, confirm the effective date.
You may edit the Effective Date. Coalition allows you to set the Effective Date up to 3 days in the past and up to the expiration date of the quote into the future. (Need something custom? Contact us.)
Fifth, enter the client's email address.
This address is used to provide access to the Coalition apps platform and policyholder dashboard. If you already have the signed signature bundle, you can select 'Yes' and upload the document directly to the platform. You can also elect for us to send your client an e-signature request using the provided email address.
Optionally, you can provide the email address for your client's security contact so they can also get access to Coalition's risk management platform for policyholders.
Success!
As the broker, you will be emailed the Binder, which is valid for 10 days.
The client will be emailed at the address provided to digitally sign the application (if opted), terms of service, and state-specific surplus lines notification (if any) in one simple bundle, and also gain access to the Coalition apps.
