Retailer: My wholesaler doesn’t use Coalition, what should I do?
Introduce us to them! In all seriousness, we’d love to chat with your wholesaler and get them set up. Chances are they’ll be happy you connected us. If that’s not a viable option, we can connect you to an exceptional wholesaler we already work with. We work with many of the most respected cyber wholesalers on the planet, so we’re confident we can find you a great partner.
Retailer: Can I be directly appointed with Coalition?
Generally, no. Retailers can partner with any of our 1000s of wholesale partners to get access to the best cyber and management liability coverage in the market. We have a few exceptions for large national retailers (e.g. Aon) who have dedicated internal wholesalers, proper surplus licensing, and practice specialists for all professional lines.
Retailer: Can I work with different wholesalers?
It depends. Retailers can partner with one wholesaler per insurance line (e.g. Cyber and Executive Risk). This means you can work with one wholesaler for cyber and another wholesaler for executive risk. You, however, cannot “split time” between two cyber wholesalers. If working with multiple wholesalers for the same line is important to you, please let us know. We’d love to understand why this is important to you, so we can figure out how to support you on this request in the future.
Retailer: Can I switch wholesalers? If so, how?
Yes! If you’d like to switch wholesale partners, please send us an email at help@coalitioninc.com letting us know who to pair you with (and for what insurance line). We’ll be happy to make the switch. One thing we request: treat this a bit more like marriage than dating… You’ll lose access to your prior accounts (unless we receive a BOR to transfer them to the new wholesaler), so it’s not viable to bounce back and forth between wholesalers.
