What is the Coalition Risk Assessment (“CRA”)?
We want to democratize access to data, so we’re sharing the information we’ve obtained. The CRA shares provide insights to brokers and insureds that allow them to make better risk management decisions while also showing the data we can collect to help you understand our underwriting process. For Executive Risks, we will highlight increased risks (or lack thereof), but also provide you with ways to mitigate those risks through best practices or use of our risk management solutions
How do you obtain this information?
We obtain information from a variety of publicly available sources. We then aggregate and analyze that information in a way that is applicable for gaining insights useful for our brokers and insureds.
How did you get financial information (including liens, late payments and PPP loans)?
We have a number of commercially available data sources that provide insight into the financial state of the company. While we rely on the application information submitted to us for rating, this information can help us to ballpark quotes or even waive financials for some lines of business like EPL.
How do you get the regulatory information?
There are hundreds of websites available online showing state and federal agency and private litigation information. We aggregate and summarize that information. We also provide recommendations on ways to mitigate any regulatory concerns that arise from what we find.
Where does the employee sentiment information come from?
Social media mentions and online reviews are part of the emerging risks for companies. We scan social media platforms to find applicable information. With the content identified in reviews, we are working on tailoring particular risk management solutions for you.
How do I make updates to the information I see here or highlight that I disagree with a score?
Please let us know by contacting us at execrisks@coalitioninc.com. We’re always updating our models to improve the way that we capture information.
Will you be expanding on this in the future?
Absolutely. We have a significant amount of additional information that we will display in the future. For example, we scan our insureds throughout the year to identify new exposures such as new investors, acquisitions or name changes. In later versions of the CRA we will begin to share this information.
