Coalition offers an enhanced waiting period to our policyholders that employ specific security controls to mitigate the risk of a business interruption loss caused by a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. When in place, the waiting period for any failure of your computer systems caused by a DDoS attack is decreased to 1 hour.
In order to qualify for the enhanced waiting period, you must use an approved denial of service mitigation service. Once you have enabled and correctly configured an approved service, you must request the enhanced waiting period from within your policyholder dashboard.
